BRDA Living Data · Topic Attention
Regulatory Attention
This panel tracks how much regulatory text each agency devotes to each policy domain — consumer compliance, credit risk, BSA/AML, and 17 more — across all corpora in the BRDA pipeline. Unlike the SPI (which focuses on examination handbooks), this covers all text sources: guidance letters, speeches, financial stability reports, supervisory letters, and risk perspectives.
Topic Attention Over Time
Stacked area of mention counts by policy domain across years. Select a single corpus or view all corpora combined.
Top Domains by Corpus
Top 10 policy domains ranked by total mention count. Filter by corpus to see which topics dominate each agency’s output.
Domain Trends Over Time
Line chart tracking a selected policy domain across all corpora. Lines are colored by agency to reveal divergent attention patterns.
Multi-Agency Coverage
Coordination score over time for domains covered by 3 or more agencies simultaneously. Higher scores indicate tighter regulatory alignment on a topic.
White Paper: The Attention Economy of Regulation
When regulators shift attention to a new risk domain, what happens to the topics they stop writing about? This panel enables zero-sum attention analysis: does a post-crisis surge in BSA/AML guidance come at the expense of credit risk coverage? Combined with the enforcement panel, it tests whether attention predicts action with a measurable lag.
